We want you to know that Morristown Animal Hospital is open and here for your veterinary needs.

In an effort to ensure a safe environment for you, your pets and our team members during this pandemic we ask that you avoid coming in if:

  • You are experiencing flu-like symptoms
  • Have a fever greater than 100.4 F and a cough
  • You or someone you have been in contact with have travelled to an affected area within that last 14 days

If you have an upcoming routine appointment and are ill or at risk as outlined above, please call and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment. If you have a veterinary emergency and are not able to find someone to bring your pet in, please call ahead and inform us of your situation so that we may prepare for your pets visit.

Additionally, we encourage you to limit the number of people bringing your pet in to one per patient. We understand that some pets require more than one family members assistance for safe handling and exceptions are permitted. Use your best judgement here.

Please be assured that within our hospital we are conducting frequent cleanings with appropriate disinfectants. Our veterinarians and staff continue to practice safe hand hygiene and have established a no hand-shake policy as we strive to keep our environment as safe as possible.

We ask that you also practice preventive measures such as hand washing/sanitizing and covering coughs and sneezes with sleeves or disposable tissue.

The recommendations regarding how to proceed in our profession are changing almost daily. We will keep you informed as we are updated. The AVMA has provided us with updated information for pet owners. Please see the link at the bottom of the page.

We consider you and your pets our extended family. Together we will do all we can to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
